The mission of Dark Void Disco is to provide a space for meeting with the void, and to consciously connect with aspects that are often pushed into the shadows of the subconscious.

DARK VOID DISCO BACKSTORY

Dark Void Disco started from a deep, personal need to meet my own shadow sides, as my habit of suppressing them and pretending they were not there had resulted in a severe breakdown that had its culmination on New Year’s Eve between 2022 and 2023.

But breakdowns are often breakthroughs and blessings in a dark disguise. As I slowly emerged from the darkness over the year of 2023, I realized that I had to find a way to continuously meet with these suppressed sides, hoping that consciously engaging with them would result in less surprising, life-shattering moments. My goal was quite simply to transform the approach of my life to include appreciation of both my light and dark sides and see how they can work together. This is the process from where Dark Void Disco was born.

I decided to share my reflections and ramblings in the form of a podcast so that others could also take part in this process and perhaps gain some value from it.
