The Timelines reading is created for the situation where you are in the midst of a choice of some kind. Be aware that the intention of this reading is not to decide anything for you, but instead present you with statements that you can relate to. In relating to the statements of the cards, you can reflect, sense and feel into your own reactions, and gain valuable uderstanding about your own attitudes to this choice, and the deeper motivations behind each option.

Timelines spread
This reading uses a very comprehensive spread that consists of different stages: an overview of your current state, your conscious reasoning, underlying motivations, what you bring with you into this choice from the past, and what is being left behind. From here the spread then continues on into three to four different strands that represent different timelines: the different options of the choice, or different directions that you could continue down your life path. For this reading you therefore need to tell me what you would like each option to represent: Different places you consider moving to? Different jobs/activities? Or different approaches to a particular situation? Or something else? I suggest you keep the options to three-four, otherwise it can quickly become too comprehensive to handle in just one reading. If you don’t have any concrete options in mind you can also simply focus on a chosen aspect/situation and ask the cards to show you different options connected to that aspect/situation.

As this is quite a complex reading I will share an example of how I used this reading in my own life. When I was in a situation where I stood between jobs, my reading had to do with different pathways to make a living. For the different options I chose three different activities that I could undertake proffessionally: starting a web design business, pursuing teaching or lecturing in an educational institution, or focusing on my divination practice. Based on my emotional reactions to the cards that came up, I could read out how these different options felt on a deeper level. And this was regardless of the contents of the cards themselves! One of my favorite cards (the High Priestess) was connected to the web design option, but seeing it in that context colored the card in a darker light: in this position, the high priestess seemed to represent a lack of initiative, more than the deep wisdom that the card often embodies. This was an important clue that told me that I did not really want to start a web design business. This example highlights an important aspect in my approach to readings: the reading is best used as a tool that presents you with additional statements and perspectives. My readings don't predict your life or your future, they present you with statements about how you are perceiving your own life and future. You retain your own agency in how you react to these statements. The main goal of the reading is to help you connect to that which you already know deep inside yourself, by giving you concrete images to focus on and compare your reactions to.
